Chris Rahn analysis

Note: The right pieces is painted by Chris Rahn:

Today I picked the works of Chris Rahn, who does amazing oil pieces. The thing I most admire (besides being awesome) is that his pieces glow so much. Thats an effect you can find in the paintings of the old master sometimes, but barely to this extend.

The Otter at the left was my attempt to get a hold of that glow. Its not too bad, but not like in his pictures. And I am really not sure why. What I find really interesting is that the brightest part feels like it is white, but it isnt.

Looking at his works makes me want to pick up oils again... not that I ever really worked with them, but I have some lying around. ^^
