Dwarfen merchant

Hello folks, recently I am trying more traditional stuff to see what works best for me.
Here an attempt to work in a stile close to Justin Gerard or Peter de Seve mixed with my personal touch.Works well, although I would love to improve on opaque colors as well.

As the size was bigger then my scanner, I had to photograph with the steps in between with my cellphone. Its ok to get an impression.
Hope you like it.

  1. Great work. Fantastic character design and coloring

  2. Hi! I am absolutely in love with this and I love to see the progression it's very inspiring. I have a few questions though if you don't mind. First, what do you ink with? (or do you just use a pencil by tracing over your sketch? Second, I don't understand what's going on on the third panel...? Is that something you did digitally? because it says on deviantart that it's a traditional art so I'm confused. And finally, is the final panel adjustments on the computer or is it the final watercolor touches or is it both?
I don't know how this works really so if you don't mind, could you answer me on here: http://tamilab.deviantart.com/ otherwise I'll check here every now and then ;)
Also, congrats on your dd <3
